Expekt.com is one of the leading European online gaming operators with operations in 25 countries. Expekt Content Manager Joakim Nilsson wrote in to tell us about how the company uses Basecamp:
We have an in-house team that takes care of all marketing production requests. Spread over 25 different countries and with only phone and e-mail, we faced a not so minor logistical nightmare. Late this summer I heard about Basecamp and 37signals. 2 months later our whole marketing department collaborates in Basecamp. Lost mails, confusion, and who’s doing what/when are no longer a problem. Communication, files, and to-dos are now organized and shown only to the people involved. And internal communication winds up being much better targeted.
No more emails
We totally killed e-mails when we introduced a dedicated project for requesting production. The project is open for everyone and serves only as a message thread. Our internal customers can submit a message together with their production request and we’ll move it over to a new project. No more need for public mailboxes.
Permissions
We’re using the companies in people & permissions as internal groups, giving us the possibility to add and remove different functions for each department.
Extras
Lately we’ve been looking into a third party solution from Nourish that lets our users subscribe to an e-mail that gives them the latest updates on all projects.
Do you use a 37signals product in an interesting or noteworthy way? Let us know.
